Well that wasn't much of a wait, was it? My computer came home today, working better than before (I can actually turn it on now!) and I'm happy to share with you two pictures from my computer archives. Well, they aren't THAT old, but I thought you would enjoy them. These are from the Equine Affaire 2008. I know I have already posted some pictures from that set, but these got left out, and I feel they should be on this blog!
Plus, bringing out some old pictures helps me remember how much fun I had taking them.
The sun has come out, but the wind makes it so hard to get a decent picture. Maybethere is some way the wind could help me.
I'm sorry folks, but the blog wont be updated for quite a while. I REALLY hate to say that. My laptop crashed, the computer company has it right now and is fixing it. So I'm using my mom's computer, and it has no pictures on it. I should be posting in a day or two, I need some time to get some shots. The weather has been nasty (as in overcast and clouds, and even rain) and I don't like shooting in dark lighting. so, I need some time for the sun to come out so I can treat you all to some new, vibrant photos. I bet I've lost so many readers. I'm sorry.
My horse, Valentine, has been lame in her back leg for a few weeks. She is getting better. I had her out in the round pen yesterday, letting her walk around, and snapped this picture of her eye. Very cool color, I thought.
A week until May 2008 is over, wow. It came to fast! That's okay though, three more months until the next Switchfoot concert I'm going to.
Photography is all about experimenting right? So here I am, 11:30 at night, and I'm sitting here thinking about experimenting. Experimenting is a funny word, you know?
It can mean a few different things, like the kind of experiment you do to figure something out, to create a meaning. Then there's the sort of experimenting that really means nothing at all, you just "seeing what will happen". Life can be sort of an experiment, too, but you cant just "see what happens". You have to have a purpose. Everyday we make changes, everyday.
*looks up Jon Foreman quote*
oh, yes, here we go:
"Every day of your life, you change the world. Absolutely, yes, we're out to change the world. I mean, you change it whether you like it or not. You wake up and you talk to the grocer. You either kick your dog or you pet him. There's a million decisions you have every day where you change the world." - Jon Foreman
Just a few 11:30 at night words for you all. Thanks for visiting.
Ah, I love this picture. So simple, yet it really creates a path for your own imagination. Know what I mean? This is the license plate of an old truck my dad has in the backyard. I guess the vechicle used to belong to someone who lived in Iowa. I have been thinking about an idea of naming my photographs and displaying the name on the blog of each picture. Then I thought, 'you know, I should leave that up to the viewers, because each picture means something different to each individual'.
Here are a few pictures from my photo collection I have been enjoying lately. The first is of my best friend, Sierra. I'm always telling her to pose or do something. The second photograph is of my aunts tennis shoe. I loved the color in this photo, it's vibrant. The last is just something that caught my eye outside of the hotel room when we were in Santa Clara for the concert. Just a leaf, simple, not much at all, but I liked it.
I must say, I admit, I confess, I have not been very good about posting good pictures lately. Sure, I posted concert pictures, but those were more for fun. I am really busy at the moment, and suffering for severe after-the-concert-depression. I miss it! I found out Crab (no its not her real name, its her gangsta' name y'all!!) and I will be going to another concert in September! My favorite band will be playing. Cant wait. So far away though. Well, I'm promising, today or tomorrow I WILL post some good photos. Thanks for hanging in there with me. This is sort of embarrassing, not having any real "arty" pictures to share. Thanks again though, for visiting,
That's all I can say. The concert was so amazing, my first concert! My friend and I had such a good time! Our two favorite bands played great shows. It was incredible. I got autographs and hugs from Chap Stique and NaDaddy of Family Force 5, and the front man of my favorite band ever, Switchfoot was in the crowd, I ALMOST got to reach out and touch his hand, but just BARLEY couldn't reach. It was so amazing, he was so close, and I knew the song he was singing, so I sang along. Here's a few pictures from the show. They are notvery good at all, because the security guards kept looking at me funny and there was a sign that clearly stated "No pictures or video" I managed to get a few anyways!
^ Me (left) and my best friend forever, Crab (right)
^ Family Force 5! ^ Family Force 5 again! Sadley, in both pictures I didn't get the coolest band member, Chap Stique. I'm sorry Chappy!!
As you might already know, I'll be going to a concert on May 10th. We will be leaving May 9th and staying until May 11th. Because of this, I have decided to completely dedicate my week to school, because I wont have time to do it and I really want to do it well. So there will be what I have titled "The Great Delay". So, in more simple terms, I wont be posting anything for a WEEK. Yikes. Well, school is top priority! Be back in a week, and remember,
stay classy!! (its a switchfoot thing, a band called switchfoot.)
Well as you might know, my last pictures posted were of plants. After posting it, I realized I left out a few pictures I was planning on sharing. Here they are. The first two are of the Honeysuckle flowers in the backyard. They smell so beautiful!
Hey everyone! I just wanted to say thank you for visiting this blog. It means SO much to me. I hope that every time you stop by here you enjoy what you read and see. I try to make it entertaining, if you will, but sometimes it just doesn't feel like its going to make the visitors happy. I would like to ask a favor (as if you all visiting isn't enough! I hope I don't sound rude!) if you could just rate my blog, MAYBE write a review, it would be such a blessing! See on my sidebar where it says "Just Hit Tracking"? Well, the largest button, the one that says "Blogged, Rate This Blog" is what you would click to rate and review. Its simple and it shouldn't take long. It will help me be higher on the charts and get noticed. Thanks for your time... I mean BIG THANKS!!
I am NOT a professional photographer. I'm young, my only career is high school right now (and thats not even a career!). I love photography, and someday I want to make a living off it.
I enjoy photography so much, and I wanted to express that by creating a place where I can easily share my pictures. The pictures that I will pin to the blog are all pictures I have taken (unless I credit someone). Photography is something that I enjoy and I have a passion for. I am learning by experiment, I am young, and I dont have an expensive camera or any fancy equipment, so please take that into consideration. They might not be the best pictures you have ever seen, but I try to express my feelings and what I like about the pictures through the photos themselves. Enjoy, and feel free to comment!
"The enemy of photography is the convention, the fixed rules of 'how to do'. The salvation of photography comes from the experiment."
"Once photography enters your bloodstream, it's like a disease."
"It's not the camera, but who's behind the camera."
