AJ and Rudy

Here are a few shots of my cat, AJ and my dog, Rudy. They are both great fur-family members are giving my family and I great joy every day. They have several fur-siblings, so they are always up to something.

^AJ just woke up from a nap and I sat there and just started talking pictures at angles I found interesting.

^Looking up... I'm on a mission to get this cat yawning. I think it would be such a cool photograph. Cats are very hard to capture in a way you think is going to work as an artsy picture. This cat especially, she knows right when I push that button... and she moves just wrong.

^Rudy was relaxing in the cool grass. I saw the way I captured the sky in this picture and was blown away- its beautiful!

^This picture is really meant to be what you see- grass in detail, dog in the background. Even though this picture has more to it than Rudy, I thought it was still good to pin in this post.

^Rudy, relaxed and enjoying a private photo session. I think dogs like to get pictures taken of them.

Before I had my current horse, Valentine, I had a little Quarter Horse named Romeo. He was a good first horse. I took this picture quite some time ago, but I thought I should post it anyway. I really like the color. I hope I can find some more subjects for future posts. I have been running a little short lately it seems like. I think if I just bring my camera where ever I go, I just might find something I just have to capture.

New Layout!

Another new layout. This one is themed blue and orange. I make all the top banners myself, so I think it's pretty good. It's kind of plain, but that's okay. Can I please have YOUR opinion on this layout? Good or bad criticism- it's all useful to me!

Lip Gloss, Phone, and Glass with Juice

This is exactly what the title says: lip gloss, phone, and a glass with grape juice in it. These pictures were fun to take. I know I already had a post for today, but I just had to share, and a friend suggested I should. They turned out cool! Thanks for visiting.

Cant wait! Oh yeah and heres todays post...

Well, in three weeks I am going to a concert! I cant wait. I'm going to hopefully get some great shots. That would be cool. It's going to be an awesome concert. Two bands that I really love are going to be there! How splendid : ]

Oh yes, this is today's post. It is a rope around a piece of wood. Just something I though was good enough for sharing.

Growing Again

As you might know, I am taking pictures if the same tree in my backyard as it grows. Its very interesting to be watching it grow, and since my last tree pictures post, it has really changed. The leaves are much bigger, much fuller, and there are little seed pods (I think that's what they are) growing on each branch.

Plain Pretty Plants

These next few photos are of some plants out in the backyard. They don't have any flowers, yet they are so pretty! Simple beauty... I love simple beauty.

^My favorite.

Tire... cool angle.

Hears a couple pictures I took of a tire that was on the ground. I like the angle. The color on the first is pretty rich too.

Truck Mirror

Cool composition in this photo. I like it. I have to admit, it was a little tough to keep myself out of the mirror, but I think I managed to be invisible. I only wish I had all the fancy lenses, amazing zooming capabilities and cool settings to make my pictures that much better. Someday I will be able to afford that, but for now, I'll just have to stick with my trusty little Kodak 3x Optical Lens camera. I'll have to just dream in the mean time. As Micheal Johns would say, or should I say, sing.... "dream on, dream on".

I hope you are enjoying these posts. Blogging has really given me something to do when I'm bored. It's a way to express myself and my art too, I really enjoy it. For those of you who have stopped by daily, thank you for your time. Tell your friends, if you are liking this blog. Thanks again.

Do Not Use

When I was in the backyard the other day, I realized how odd this looked. Its funny because, well, it says right on the sticker "Do not use is safety glass is broken" but right above the tag... a big brake in the plastic. I also like the angle and composition on this photo. If you don't already know this, you can just click any photo to make it larger.

Growing in the Rocks

Here's two pictures I really like. The first is cool because the concrete and rocks doesn't look like a place you would find something beautiful, but this quaint little flower is growing. The second is just neat, I took it of myself. I think I was pretty bored that day :/

Backyard Up Close... broken and scratched.

You can find some pretty amazing things when you have a backyard and a dad with a shop and tool collection. I went out today I found things that I saw to be art. It worked, I think! I really enjoyed making these pictures. I think a good photographer doesn't just "take" the picture, I think they "make" the picture. So, enjoy these long overdue good photos, and come visit again.

Sorry about the delay for posts I have been having. Tomorrow or later today I will be sure to add a new post. Thanks for visiting... again, sorry for the delay.

I was playing around with my camera (and my shoes) and I took a few shots I thought turned out pretty cool. Take a look... they are what I would describe as "artsy" photography. I really like these. I would love YOUR opinion... thanks.

Funny Headshots

These are some silly shots from the ranch. I thought they were cute. Check them out!

^My horse, Valentine.

^Woody (left) and Maverick (right).

^Woody and Maverick again. They are so cute. Note that these are not my horses, they belong to the owner of the ranch.

New Layout!

As I explained in the last post, there will be a new layout every so often. Here's the first! I love the colors and the title font is wonderful. Enjoy!

New Layouts Coming Soon!

I will be changing the appearance of the blog often. It will be fun to make a new color scheme and such every now and then. I'll create my own banners for the top, that should be interesting. This way the blog wont get to boring! Hopefully it isn't already. Well, enjoy the new layouts I will be presenting and come back soon!

This is such a neat photo! I love it. It's a few years old, but I just saw it in my picture collection and had to share it. I took this picture with my old digital camera, so its not super clear, but I love it nonetheless. My dad is the man standing in this shot, which makes it that much more special!

Cowgirl Boot

This is an old picture I took one day when I was shooting some other pictures of my cowgirl boots. It turned out kind of interesting.

The leaves...they are growing!

If you haven't already, check out my very first post. You can really see the leaves in my first post have really grown, compared to the leaves in these pictures, its the same tree! Spring is such a fun time of year, the way everything is growing so beautifully! The only thing I worry about is all the bugs coming out to get ready for summer...that's never good, but I guess the pretty flowers and trees make up for the ugly bugs. I have decided to continue photographing that same tree throughout the year. It will be interesting to watch it grow. I'll post the pictures whenever I get new ones, enjoy these in the meantime.

^My fun edited picture. This may come in handy for desktop backgrounds on the computer or something like that. I really liked it, thought I'd share.

^I have to admit, this was my attempt to add "sun rays" to the photo. It doesn't work very well. You can totally see the edit. Just thought I'd say that so I didn't look like a cheap editor or cheater!

Out of Subjects?

A question has been popping into my mind lately "am I out of subjects to photograph?". I am not even old enough to get my driver's license, so it's not like I can say "I'm going to go head out to the beach to shoot some pictures!". I have been worried lately, but then I start to think about the things I have done so far. I have plenty of subjects! What was I thinking? I have animals, I have the backyard (which is full of endless possibilities) and I have an imagination. That's all you really need to get started right?

Meeting Cinco

This picture is of my friend Rebecca meeting Cinco, a mustang at the ranch we board my horse at. They looked so nice together, I wanted to capture the moment.

Black and White... pretty sweet.

Okay, these next few pictures are pretty sweet. Me, an hour and a half, and a photo editing program... this is what you get.
