Well Needed Shots

I was at my best friends', Sierra (Crab) 14th birthday party today, and managed to scrounge up a few interesting shots. I hope these can make up a little for the so little pictures I have been posting lately. How do you like these?

"Mandy, don't move." I saw this shot and thought, "why not?". So I told Mandy to stay put and captured this. I liked it. IF I were to name it, it would be called "Used Up".

So I tell five girls to make a star on the trampoline. I think this is pretty cool.

Allison jumping.

Michelle jumping.

Mandy starring.

So, what are your conclusions on these?

The Essentials

What do you think of this shot?

P.S. I'm hopefully picking up the camera I'm going to borrow VERY soon! I hope!

I Wanna Be an Edit Master!!

Hey viewers! I had a great time editing this photo for my good friend Mandy!

Pretty cool, eh? Mandy (left) is the one who shot this cute picture. Her and her friend Kayla.
I love the rainbow!

Two Completley Unrelated Pictures I Like

I enjoy both these photos. They are pretty cool. I'm really having a hard time getting posts out, sorry guys. It's just this thing with my camera braking. It's really hurting my photography having to use a different camera that just doesn't work right for me. These two pictures were pulled out of my archives in the computer.

Sorry this shot is so blurry. I can't stand blurry, but I liked the artsy feel in this shot.

I have had some time to think about some ideas for some new pictures, and I have really came up with some good stuff I think. I just need a camera to put those ideas into action. I'm thinking about borrowing someones camera, because that person owns the same camera as me. It would make it easier to work and such. I wish I could afford to buy an expensive, nice camera with all the fancy stuff. Although, I guess the fact that the camera I use now doesn't do anything good means I can learn not by having different settings, lens', and equipment, but by working to get the right shot on my own. It could be helping.

My Dad and Cowboy Boot

Here are two pictures I took over at the ranch we are at now. My dad was making a place to put a round pen, and had to tighten something (I'm not one to know anything about tractors) and I thought that it looked pretty cool. I'm sorry these pictures arnt real great quality, but I'm having to use my moms camera and hers doesnt take real good photos. My camera broke. When your a photographer, and your camera breaks, its not something that makes you happy at all.

I'm Baaaack...

Well that wasn't much of a wait, was it? My computer came home today, working better than before (I can actually turn it on now!) and I'm happy to share with you two pictures from my computer archives. Well, they aren't THAT old, but I thought you would enjoy them. These are from the Equine Affaire 2008. I know I have already posted some pictures from that set, but these got left out, and I feel they should be on this blog!

Plus, bringing out some old pictures helps me remember how much fun I had taking them.

The sun has come out, but the wind makes it so hard to get a decent picture. Maybe there is some way the wind could help me.
hmmm.

Waiting for the sun

I'm sorry folks, but the blog wont be updated for quite a while. I REALLY hate to say that. My laptop crashed, the computer company has it right now and is fixing it. So I'm using my mom's computer, and it has no pictures on it. I should be posting in a day or two, I need some time to get some shots. The weather has been nasty (as in overcast and clouds, and even rain) and I don't like shooting in dark lighting. so, I need some time for the sun to come out so I can treat you all to some new, vibrant photos. I bet I've lost so many readers. I'm sorry.

have a good day.

Valerie

My horse, Valentine, has been lame in her back leg for a few weeks. She is getting better. I had her out in the round pen yesterday, letting her walk around, and snapped this picture of her eye. Very cool color, I thought.

Thanks for the visit! Stay classy!

Experiment, Experiment.

A week until May 2008 is over, wow. It came to fast! That's okay though, three more months until the next Switchfoot concert I'm going to.

Photography is all about experimenting right? So here I am, 11:30 at night, and I'm sitting here thinking about experimenting. Experimenting is a funny word, you know?
It can mean a few different things, like the kind of experiment you do to figure something out, to create a meaning. Then there's the sort of experimenting that really means nothing at all, you just "seeing what will happen". Life can be sort of an experiment, too, but you cant just "see what happens". You have to have a purpose. Everyday we make changes, everyday.
*looks up Jon Foreman quote*
oh, yes, here we go:
"Every day of your life, you change the world. Absolutely, yes, we're out to change the world. I mean, you change it whether you like it or not. You wake up and you talk to the grocer. You either kick your dog or you pet him. There's a million decisions you have every day where you change the world." - Jon Foreman
Just a few 11:30 at night words for you all. Thanks for visiting.
God bless.

Had to share this one EARLY...

I love this photograph. It's so awesome, the girl and her horse. She is bathing him.

You can really see a bond in this picture, a bond between horse and girl.
Also, I wonder what the girl is thinking?

Dodge

Well, I had one vote on the poll today. Someone voted more B&W's, so here's one now.

How do you like it? Please tell me.

Two New Features

I added two new things to the sidebar today. A little "About the Artist" thing, and a poll. Please take time to vote. Thanks!

Horse shoe.

This one is (I think) a great photograph. I really like the angle, and composition.

It's such a joy to take pictures. I am glad for those who can do something this fun and make money off it. I hope someday for my career, I can be a professional photographer.

Old Iowa

Ah, I love this picture. So simple, yet it really creates a path for your own imagination. Know what I mean? This is the license plate of an old truck my dad has in the backyard. I guess the vechicle used to belong to someone who lived in Iowa. I have been thinking about an idea of naming my photographs and displaying the name on the blog of each picture. Then I thought, 'you know, I should leave that up to the viewers, because each picture means something different to each individual'.

Girl, Shoe, and Leafs.

Here are a few pictures from my photo collection I have been enjoying lately. The first is of my best friend, Sierra. I'm always telling her to pose or do something. The second photograph is of my aunts tennis shoe. I loved the color in this photo, it's vibrant. The last is just something that caught my eye outside of the hotel room when we were in Santa Clara for the concert. Just a leaf, simple, not much at all, but I liked it.

Switchfoot Logo

Taken at the concert. It was dark, and I was trying at some shots, and Switchfoot had their logo hanging up. It was so lit up, I captured it in this shot. Its quite beautiful, to me : )

Lacking Good Photographs

I must say, I admit, I confess, I have not been very good about posting good pictures lately. Sure, I posted concert pictures, but those were more for fun. I am really busy at the moment, and suffering for severe after-the-concert-depression. I miss it! I found out Crab (no its not her real name, its her gangsta' name y'all!!) and I will be going to another concert in September! My favorite band will be playing. Cant wait. So far away though. Well, I'm promising, today or tomorrow I WILL post some good photos. Thanks for hanging in there with me. This is sort of embarrassing, not having any real "arty" pictures to share. Thanks again though, for visiting,

what a blessing you all are!!

MOST AMAZING TIME OF MY LIFE!

WOW.

That's all I can say. The concert was so amazing, my first concert! My friend and I had such a good time! Our two favorite bands played great shows. It was incredible. I got autographs and hugs from Chap Stique and NaDaddy of Family Force 5, and the front man of my favorite band ever, Switchfoot was in the crowd, I ALMOST got to reach out and touch his hand, but just BARLEY couldn't reach. It was so amazing, he was so close, and I knew the song he was singing, so I sang along. Here's a few pictures from the show. They are not very good at all, because the security guards kept looking at me funny and there was a sign that clearly stated "No pictures or video" I managed to get a few anyways!

^ Me (left) and my best friend forever, Crab (right)

^ Family Force 5!
^ Family Force 5 again! Sadley, in both pictures I didn't get the coolest band member, Chap Stique. I'm sorry Chappy!!

The Great Delay

As you might already know, I'll be going to a concert on May 10th. We will be leaving May 9th and staying until May 11th. Because of this, I have decided to completely dedicate my week to school, because I wont have time to do it and I really want to do it well. So there will be what I have titled "The Great Delay". So, in more simple terms, I wont be posting anything for a WEEK. Yikes. Well, school is top priority! Be back in a week, and remember,

stay classy!! (its a switchfoot thing, a band called switchfoot.)

I left out a few... oops.

Well as you might know, my last pictures posted were of plants. After posting it, I realized I left out a few pictures I was planning on sharing. Here they are. The first two are of the Honeysuckle flowers in the backyard. They smell so beautiful!

Kind Visitors... thank you.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to say thank you for visiting this blog. It means SO much to me. I hope that every time you stop by here you enjoy what you read and see. I try to make it entertaining, if you will, but sometimes it just doesn't feel like its going to make the visitors happy. I would like to ask a favor (as if you all visiting isn't enough! I hope I don't sound rude!) if you could just rate my blog, MAYBE write a review, it would be such a blessing! See on my sidebar where it says "Just Hit Tracking"? Well, the largest button, the one that says "Blogged, Rate This Blog" is what you would click to rate and review. Its simple and it shouldn't take long. It will help me be higher on the charts and get noticed.
Thanks for your time... I mean BIG THANKS!!

Many wonderful days to come,

-Krista

Plants

I took these today. I enjoyed shooting these, I hope you enjoy looking at them. Feel free to comment. Also, as a reminder, don't forget to check the archives if you haven't already!!

New Layout!

New layout today... theme colors are purples, greys, and black. I like the banner- the spilled ink or however you want to see it looks pretty sweet. Hope you like it!

Wood and Caution

These things I thought made cool pictures. Enjoy.

AJ and Rudy

Here are a few shots of my cat, AJ and my dog, Rudy. They are both great fur-family members are giving my family and I great joy every day. They have several fur-siblings, so they are always up to something.

^AJ just woke up from a nap and I sat there and just started talking pictures at angles I found interesting.

^Looking up... I'm on a mission to get this cat yawning. I think it would be such a cool photograph. Cats are very hard to capture in a way you think is going to work as an artsy picture. This cat especially, she knows right when I push that button... and she moves just wrong.

^Rudy was relaxing in the cool grass. I saw the way I captured the sky in this picture and was blown away- its beautiful!

^This picture is really meant to be what you see- grass in detail, dog in the background. Even though this picture has more to it than Rudy, I thought it was still good to pin in this post.

^Rudy, relaxed and enjoying a private photo session. I think dogs like to get pictures taken of them.

Romeo

Before I had my current horse, Valentine, I had a little Quarter Horse named Romeo. He was a good first horse. I took this picture quite some time ago, but I thought I should post it anyway. I really like the color. I hope I can find some more subjects for future posts. I have been running a little short lately it seems like. I think if I just bring my camera where ever I go, I just might find something I just have to capture.

New Layout!

Another new layout. This one is themed blue and orange. I make all the top banners myself, so I think it's pretty good. It's kind of plain, but that's okay. Can I please have YOUR opinion on this layout? Good or bad criticism- it's all useful to me!

Lip Gloss, Phone, and Glass with Juice

This is exactly what the title says: lip gloss, phone, and a glass with grape juice in it. These pictures were fun to take. I know I already had a post for today, but I just had to share, and a friend suggested I should. They turned out cool! Thanks for visiting.
